Mr. Andrew Love, Producer of Rocky Mountain Rebellion and Co-Founder of the International Person of Leather Contest said, “We as a community often find ourselves looking to celebrate our differences. The Rocky Mountain Person of Leather competition ushers in a new era in Leather Competitions where we can celebrate our diversity by focusing on what bring us all together. We are excited to be part of the new Person of Leather circuit and look forward to the International Person of Leather competition. We congratulation Simon/Alexandria Blaise on winning the title of Rocky Mountain Person of Leather.”
The International Person of Leather Contest was founded by Executive Producers Mr. Andrew Love, Master Tallen, and slave Jazz to celebrate an individual in the leather community who promotes diversity and strengthens leather culture as a mentor/educator/individual and spokesperson throughout that person’s title year. Persons of all gender identities and sexual orientations compete against each other for one title, with the stress of this contest being on dedication to one’s community above and beyond any external categorization.

About International Person of Leather (InterPOL):
The International Person of Leather Contest is a celebration of the diversity in the Leather community. The title of Person of Leather exists to promote that diversity.
International Person of Leather is a community service title. We see that the leather community consists of extremely diverse people with a common thread throughout, that thread being Leather culture.
Each year, a single International Person of Leather will be selected not based on gender-identity, sexual-orientation, race, physical appearance, age, or disability, but rather on their ability to articulate their views, passions, and dedications and to make an impact in their communities. We will expect these People of Leather to act as mentors, educators, role models and spokespeople throughout their title year.
The goal of the International Person of Leather is to promote and celebrate the diversity of Leather Culture both regionally and internationally throughout the alternative sex-positive community on behalf of the International Person of Leather Contest.

religious iconography and stood in stark contrast to a hysterical, fast-paced and fun fantasy of the first runner-up, John G (which perverted the William Tell Overture in all of our minds forever). Also especially notable were a moving speech about the need of the Leather community to evolve with time delivered by Blaise and John G’s words about the importance of contributing to one’s community.
What are the plans for Rocky Mountain’s first Person of Leather? To quote Simon, “Alexandria Blaise and I were given the historical responsibility and privilege to serve as Rocky Mountain Person of Leather 2014. Alexandria and I plan to do all we can to serve our Leather community by presenting classes, sharing our story, and being an example that inspires others to live authentically while supporting others who do the same.”
